Amazon Herb Co. has teamed up with the Amazon Center for Environmental Education and Research (ACEER) Foundation to bring teachers and environmental education and programs to children in Rainforest villages.
ACEER creates, develops and implements environmental education programs in Indigenous communities of the Peruvian Amazon. These programs develop environmental awareness and sustainable use of natural resources.
To date, the program is improving the quality of education for more than 5,500 school children and over 300 school teachers in Iquitos City, in rural villages along the Río Itaya, in Puerto Maldonado and in rural villages along the Río Madre de Dios. With the commitment of Amazon Herb Co., the program is now expanding to communities in the Río Ucayali, Río Pisqui and Río Caco regions.
These programs provide a forum of sharing information and empower new visions and choices for a sustainable future.

"If deforestation can be stopped in its tracks, then we will be able to buy ourselves some much-needed time to build the low carbon economies on which our futures depend. I have endeavored to create a global public, private and NGO partnership to discover an innovative means of halting tropical deforestation. Success would literally transform the situation for our children and grandchildren and for every species on the planet." - HRH The Prince of Wales
ACEER and the Prince's Rainforest Project are sharing resources and information so that teachers around the globe have access to a wealth of information about Rainforests.
The Prince's Rainforest Project's work is focused on two very specific aims. The first is to raise awareness of the damaging effects of deforestation for everyone. The second is to identify appropriate incentives that will encourage rainforest nations to stop burning down vast areas of valuable forests.
